Do you ever catch yourselves in the depths of the internet, looking at pieces you know you can't afford? Well, you're not alone.
Although it can be discouraging looking at things you know you can't buy, there is still some excitement in thinking.. "maybe one day."There's no harm in picking out your size and colour, adding it to your shopping cart, and not checking out, right?
Xevana "Draco" Stacklace
Stunning, right? This piece is the queen of all statement necklaces. It is actually 3 pieces in one, making it easy to tone it down if you weren't feeling inclined to wear all at once. For me personally, it's the more the merrier. I have been a fan of XEVANA's jewelry for quite some time, as I have seen a few in person around town. Something like this can be worn with a simple tee and a pair of boyfriend jeans, or along with any cocktail dress for that extra something.
Valentino Rockstud Heels
If you follow any sort of fashion blog, you've probably seen these. They feature iconic pyramid studs with lattice-inspired straps, and a four inch heel (they do come with a shorter heel height as well). My dream pair would be in all black, of course. Although they might just be the most beautiful pair of shoes I've ever laid my eyes on, there is no way this student could ever justify $1499 on a single pair of shoes. On a side note, this picture doesn't even do the shoes justice! When I visited New York this past spring, I reluctantly tried a pair on and those studs shine like you wouldn't believe. You best believe Sarah McLaughlan's "Angel" was playing in my head as I took the shoes off and left the store.
Merci Me London Trench
To me, this is the PERFECT year round coat. I always lean toward black, and the layering effect that this trench brings is perfect for the upcoming fall months. Where I live, I wouldn't get away with bare arms in the fall and winter as it is way too cold. So, I'd be sure to toss on a chunky turtleneck along with this piece. The exaggerated lapels and rolled up sleeves give the effortless look that I love. Unfortunately, the fact that this coat can be worn year round isn't quite enough justification for the $990 price tag.
Givenchy Antigona Tote
I know what you're all thinking. Why even bother looking at Givenchy if you can't afford it? Well, A GIRL CAN DREAM OKAY?!
This bag is beautiful. Its burgundy textured leather is the perfect look for the upcoming fall and winter months. I have been recently into the pops of colour against my usual monochrome outfits, and can only dream about this bag one day resting perfectly in the crook of my elbow. I initially discovered this bag from one of my favourite Youtubers doing a "What's in my purse?" video. She has it in the classic black colour, but I think this rich burgundy would pair well with most items in my closet. Maybe if I just picture myself with it every day, it'll happen. Law of attraction, right?!
Rag & Bone Wool Fedora
Remember that perfect black hat hunt I was talking about in my last post? Well, I found it, and couldn't bring myself to drop $260 on it! It is made of wool felt and features a pinched crown along with a leather stap. I love the look of these hats resting effortlessly near the back of the head. The hardest part for me was finding one with a stiff enough brim that wouldn't droop down into your face - and this one passed! Although $260 may be somewhat affordable, I am determined to find something similar for a cheaper price tag.
Thank you for reading along with me today! Together, we can dream about the lust-worthy items that make our hearts skip a beat.
