FALL 2016: TOP 10 ARITZIA PICKS

by Brittany Lauren in

My favourite season, paired with my favourite boutique.

*cue the fireworks*

I am so excited for this post, as I had a lot of fun preparing it. I am constantly on Aritzia's website adding things to my wish list for when I am ready to finally take the plunge and buy. Needless to say, my wish list is bursting this time of year with all of my favourite items for the upcoming Fall season. Below, I have curated a list of my top ten picks from Aritzia's Fall 2016 collection.

Enjoy!

1) BRULLON SWEATER, $195

This piece was actually one of my favourites last year as well. I remember looking at it almost everyday on the website for about a month before I finally made the decision to buy it; no regrets for this gal. I bought it in a very dark navy shade, but I am currently loving this heather bone shade pictured above. I think it adds a very structural yet understated look to any outfit. It is an oversized fit, making it look very relaxed.

Bonus: It has very large pockets :)

2) MOULTON DRESS, $75

One of my favourite fabrics that Aritzia carries is their Reposa. I like how it drapes on the body, but what I especially love is how easy it is to take care of. You can wash it and dry it however you please, and it will keeps its shape! This dress is made entirely of Reposa, making it an automatic favourite for me. The high neck and low back are a combination that I adore. I think this dress would be something that can be worn on any day, whether you are wanting to dress up for something more formal, or on a day where you want to keep things more casual.

3) BRION PANT, $145

Although the term "chic sweatpants" my seem like an oxymoron, it is the perfect description for the Brion Pant. These are next level comfortable, and look amazing on. You can wear them with tank tops, turtlenecks, t-shirts... anything. They are high waisted, making it easy to wear with crop tops if that is your thing, too.

I love wearing mine with an oversized turtleneck, as pictured below!

4) CROQUIS SWEATER, $125

The off the shoulder trend has been on fire this summer. The Croquis sweater is perfect for you if you aren't ready to give up the trend for Fall. It is more fitted throughout the body and arms, but the top part that folds down it loose which allows it to stay down! You all know the struggle of keeping your shirt down if you've been wearing off the shoulder tops non-stop, like myself. Because it fits tighter in the mid-section, it makes this sweater a lot easier to tuck into denim, or maybe even the Brion pant!

5) EPOCH SWEATER, $75

I can't say enough good things about this sweater. I am in love with the fabric especially! It is like a "sweatshirt" material, but still quite structured. The neck remains stiff, which is a feature I love in turtlenecks, but is harder to find. I originally thought I would wear this with a more structured black pant, but I am loving how it looks with a more casual sweat pant like the model is wearing above. Add some Stan Smith sneakers in the mix and you've got yourself a stellar outfit.

6) JIMMY PANT, $125

I remember scoping the website last year around this time and seeing these pants. They caught my eye, but I never made the jump to purchase. By the time I decided I needed them, they were long gone and sold out. Now, I am not going to make the same this year!

I think these are an easy everyday pant, but with a little modern flair. It's the print that initially caught my eye, as it is still neutral and very easy to pair with other basics on top. I can't wait to add these to my Fall wardrobe this year!

7) FRAME LE STRAIGHT ANCHORAGE, $315

I know it's dramatic, but I am COMPLETELY obsessed with this pair of Frame jeans. They are a high rise in dark wash; already a match made in heaven. My favourite part, as you may have already guessed, is the stepped hem. I LOVE how this looks with a pair of heeled ankle boots! I think this may be the item I am most excited to style for the upcoming Autumn months.

8) SERRES SKINNY, $45

If you are an avid follower of mine, you will know that I am most certainly on board with the necktie trend. I wear them often, as I love the carefree vibe they add to an outfit. This one is a little more elegant than the ones I have purchased in the past. My favourite way to wear this is with a sleeveless or off the shoulder top, draping it across the neck, and leaving it completely open in the back. It is made of 100% silk, so it feels great against your skin and won't irritate it. I think this is one of those purchases that I will wear a lot more than I initially thought!

9) COLOURBLOCK BLANKET, $85

If there is one thing you need to own from Aritzia, it's a scarf. They are masters at the scarf game! There are various shapes, patterns, fabrics, colours... one for every taste. This one is my favourite for this year. It is still a large scarf, but a little thinner than their classic diamond mosaic scarves. I find it still wraps nicely, but doesn't get too thick around the neck. I especially love the pattern, and how it remains in the neutral realm of colouring. The fringe on the edges adds a nice touch, too!

10) HEYDORN BODYSUIT, $50

Can one ever have enough bodysuits in their wardrobe? The answer is no.

This one is made from that fabulous Reposa fabric I was talking about earlier. So yes, very easy to wash and dry! I like how this bodysuit can be dressed up significantly more than the others in my collection. I would normally wear my bodysuits with some casual denim on the bottom, but I feel like this could be worn with a classic black pencil skirt for a polished look as well. It is a very versatile piece, and at a great price point.

Although these may be my personal favourites, I hope there are a few picks in here that you can agree with me on! I had a lot of fun choosing my favourite ten, even though it was hard to dwindle my choices down to just ten! As sad as I am to be saying goodbye to summer, I would be lying if I said I wasn't extremely excited to start pulling out and styling Fall outfits.

Until next time,
