Handbags are without a doubt one of my favourite things to collect, and with a new season on our hands, I am on the hunt for a new piece to add to the collection. I've been doing some in store and online looking, and have found some that are definite contenders. Below are some of the bags that have caught my eye this season -- enjoy!
This one is an unusual pick for me, as it is full of colour! I am not one to gravitate toward colourful statement pieces, but there was just something about this one that caught my eye. I have always been a fan of Ted Baker, but have yet to add any of his pieces to my collection. I absolutely love the structured look of this bag, along with the black and gold accents. What I especially like is the assortment of shades & colours, making it a bag that you can wear with almost any item in your closet. I think this bag is perfect for the fall because of its deep tones and elegant structure. It is something different, and sure to be a conversation starter!
2. ZARA Croc and Chain City Bag - $179
What immediately caught my eye with this bag was it's resemblance to the Chanel Boy Bag. They are undeniably beautiful, but surely out of my price range (a cool $6000, minimum). I adore the texture this bag can add to any outfit. It will stand out along any colour palette, including black. The faux crocodile print and detailed gunmetal chains are right up my alley, as they are still neutral in nature but will stand out as different against any monochromatic outfit. If I can't own a Chanel Boy Bag, this beautiful piece from Zara is a wonderful replacement!
3. Dailylook Mini Structured Handbag - $55
My obsession for black crossbody bags is very real, and this bag is no exception! To be more specific, my obsession with the Celine Micro Luggage totes is even more real. Google them, they're beautiful. It is actually a running joke between some family & friends and I about how badly I want one. I think I'm funny when I say I'll only do a favour if I get a Celine bag in return, and it is at this point and time that I can perfect my "why aren't they laughing with me" exit. I've gotten much practice, let me tell you.
Anyways, this bag is almost an exact replica of the Celine Micro Luggage tote that I often talk about and lust over. I can imagine the quality is no where near that of Celine, but the overall look is most certainly there. If you are like me, and dream over $3500 Celine bags, this look-a-like by Dailylook might interest you!
4. ALDO Nerine Bag - $55
If you are looking for a timeless and elegant bag, this one may be for you. I have been loving the geometric monochromatic look, and am a sucker for anything gold. This bag can easily dress up an otherwise casual outfit, and nicely falls into a student budget! I also love that you have the option to wear it as a crossbody, or keep it in the crook of your arm with the two smaller top handles as well. If you have an ALDO near you, I think this bag is definitely worth checking out.
5. Zara Leather Messenger Bag - $139
I think this one may be my favourite find of all. I love it's simplistic nature and structured feel, and of course the gold accents. It is a small bag, but can hold all of the essentials, and then some. The shoulder strap is actually detachable, allowing it to transform into a completely different looking bag. It is real leather, and will still manage to keep it's rigid structure over time. In my opinion, Zara handbags are quite underrated. They are high quality, and wear well over time which is an important quality to me. I'm hoping to check this one out in person on an upcoming trip to Edmonton, as I don't have a Zara near me.
6. TOPSHOP Premium Leather Tassel Tote - $180
A stunning genuine leather black tote, with tassels. Where could you go wrong? This tote is the ultimate everyday bag, even for students. It is roomy & spacious, allowing you to bring with you whatever your heart desires. Books? Yep. Laptop? Uh huh. Kitchen sink? Absolutely. It'll hold everything! I love how it is neutral, but still has a little flare allowing it to stand out among a sea of Herschel backpacks (no hate, I have one too!). I think this one might be a close second favourite right in behind the Zara messenger bag.
Thanks for visiting today and reading along about my current bag obsessions! I hope you're all having a fabulous week!
