I don't know about you guys, but when I find a great drugstore beauty product, I am happy as can be. I do love to indulge in the more expensive cosmetic lines, but I am a firm believer in not having to spend a fortune to find a great product. I love my expensive lipsticks, but these are just as amazing, and for a much lower price! Below is a list of my top drugstore lipsticks all under ten dollars -- complete with swatches!
1) Rimmel London Moisture Renew, 450 Berry Rich - $6.99
As it states in the name, this line of lipsticks by Revlon is extremely moisturizing. This particular colour is highly pigmented, and glides on with ease. The finish of this shade is not fully matte, but not extremely glossy either -- it is a nice mix of both worlds. I think this shade is a very wearable red, and would suit anyone who is wanting a beautiful staple red in their collection.
2) Wet N Wild, 902C Bare It All - $2.99
This one might be my all time favourite nude lipstick from the drugstore. It reminds me very much of Honeylove and Velvet Teddy by MAC, both of which are long time favourites of mine! This shade is completely matte, making it last for a significant amount of time on the lips. The best part about this line of lipsticks has to be the price. You just can not beat three dollars! This shade is often sold out, so if you are interested in it and see it in stock, I suggest you buy it ASAP.
3) Revlon Colorbust Matte Balm, 250 Standout - $9.49
This line of lipsticks by Revlon is absolutely amazing. The consistency is wonderfully smooth, and the lasting power is very much above par. Another nice touch is that they are all infused with a minty scent, which makes them feel very fresh upon application. This red shade in "Standout" is stunning, and is one of my favourites to wear during the holidays. There are some berry tones in this shade as well, making it a little different than your average red. I highly recommend this line, as I have yet to experience a shade I didn't enjoy.
4) Rimmel London Lasting Finish (By Kate), 42 - $6.99
This particular lipstick is part of a line that Kate Moss created with Rimmel London. They are still available in stores, so don't worry! This shade is in the nude family, but a little on the darker side. Is has a satin finish, and is a little more on the glossy side. I think this shade is a perfect every day colour, as it is easy to apply, and matches well with any makeup look.
5) NYX Xtreme Lip Creme, 09 Strawberry Jam - $5.99
NYX is often a hard brand to find in Canada, especially now that Target is no longer in reach for us. I have seen NYX being stocked occasionally in London Drugs, as well as Winners. These Xtreme Lip Cremes are definitely worth the hunt! The pigmentation is out of this world. Just one light swipe and you will have a fully coloured lip. This particular shade is a beautiful shade of fuchsia -- one that the bright lip lovers are sure to enjoy. It reminds me a lot of Girl About Town by MAC as well, but costs a fraction of the price.
6) Revlon Colorburst, 050 Hazelnut - $8.49
This is another one of my most worn drugstore shades. It is in the nude family as well, but is much darker than your average nude lipstick. It is also very much on the cooler side, which I really enjoy on my skin tone. I think this is a shade that can be easily worn during the day, and also transitions nicely into the evening because of it's deeper tone. For someone who has quite the extensive lipstick collection, I do find this shade to be quite unique as well! I haven't found anything quite like it.
7) Maybelline Color Sensational Vivids, 885 Vibrant Mandarin - $8.99
For those of you who need a little brightness in your life, this shade is for you! I think this is an absolutely stunning shade for the summer months, but that doesn't mean it can't be worn in the winter as well. This lipstick is incredibly smooth, and glides onto the lips with ease. One thing I will say is that this shade may require a lip liner if you find that lipstick often bleeds or migrates on you. A liner will help keep this shade in place, which is exceptionally important with bright colours such as this one. I think this shade is both unique, and high quality!
8) Rimmel London Lasting Finish (by Kate), 107 - $6.99
This beautiful deep berry shade is sure to compliment any complexion. I absolutely adore the consistency of the Lasting Finish line, and would definitely compare them to lines that are up to three times the price. This one is a matte finish, which happens to be my favorite. Another aspect about this that I really like is the scent. It is sweet, but not overwhelming. My go-to way to wear this shade is overtop of Half Red lipliner by MAC, it is a beautifully bold combination.
9) Wet N Wild, 912C In The Flesh - $2.99
This shade reminds me a lot of Plumful by MAC, but a lot more matte. It is a beautiful every day shade, and will also last because of its matte finish. I actually like to pair this with the other Wet N Wild lipstick I mentioned above (Bare It All) -- they look great together! This is actually my second tube of this shade, so that should say something about how much I enjoy it. For three dollars, this lipstick is a must in any collection!
This concludes my list of favourite drugstore lipsticks under ten dollars. I hope you found some new shades that you may want to try, as I am always excited to find new beauty products that are easy on the bank account. Hope you are all having a great week!
