For the month of April, I have been keeping it quite simple with my makeup routine. I have been dedicated to perfecting the look of "glowing" skin, and I think I am almost there! Full post to come on that, don't you worry. For now, I'll be showing you the products that I've been using on the daily. For someone who has quite the makeup collection, it says a lot when I reach for the same products every day - they must be good.
1) Kylie Cosmetics Matte Liquid Lipstick - Maliboo $35
I know what you are all thinking... another brown-toned nude lipstick. But here's why I love this one - it's the most matte liquid lip you will ever try. For those of you who don't like the feeling of an ultra matte lip, you will most likely not enjoy this formula. I personally love that, as I feel like it actually makes my lips look fuller. Because it is so matte, you can get away with slightly over-lining the lip and it looking completely natural. I want every single shade in this entire range!
2) Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush - Ethereal Glow $45
This blush has the softest, most finely-milled formula in my entire collection. I use this on days where I don't what to think about what will match my eyes or lips, as this shade compliments any look. It has a slight sheen to it, keeping consistent with the "glowy" look I am striving to perfect. And a bonus? The luxurious packaging!
3) Saje Safe Hands Antimicrobial Hand Lotion $12
This Winter, sadly, I have fallen victim to a bad case of Eczema on the palms of my hands. It becomes incredibly itchy, and some days so painful I struggle to even close my hands. A dear friend of mine knew how annoyed I had become dealing with my skin, so she took it upon herself to go to Saje and see if there was something that may help. She surprised me with this, and I LOVE IT. More importantly, my hands love it. The scent is refreshing, and the ingredients pair well with my sensitive hands.
4) Milk Makeup Shadow Quad - Day Goals $43
I picked this shadow quad up when I was vacationing down in Arizona. I was absolutely ecstatic to see that the Sephora in Scottsdale carried the entire Milk Makeup range. I quickly grabbed myself a Blur Stick, and then I saw this bad boy staring at me. I swatched them immediately, and was sold. They are a marshmallow-cream texture, and blend incredibly well. They are on the sheer side, but that is actually my favourite part about them. The sheerness makes it so easy to show throw on in the morning when you're in a rush! Although they are on the sheer side, they are also buildable for a more bold look as well.
5) Clinique Chubby Stick Sculpting Highlight $27
Like the rest of the beauty community, I too am a huge fan of the highlighting craze. This is what I use when I want my highlighting to look more natural, but still noticeable. The cream formula allows it to blend right into the skin, which I love. I place it on all the highest points of my face, and voila! Natural looking, glowing skin.
6) Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel Bronzing Makeup Base $54
This right here is my favourite bronzer of all time, and I have tried many. The more I love a product, I almost find it harder to talk about as I just want to write "perfect" for every second word. The shade is a "perfect" match for me, as I usually lean toward shades that are on the warmer side. It has a light floral scent to it, which I like. It lasts incredibly well in the heat, which I put to the test in Arizona. I apply it with a dense stippling brush, giving the perfect even finish.
7) MAC Fix + $28
My favourite part of my makeup routine - fix plus! This takes away any sort of powdery finish on the skin, and leaves your skin feeling extremely refreshed. I absolutely love the scent, and would continue to purchase this based on that alone. This is what makes gives my skin the perfect dewy look for summer, I could not live without it. Fix plus does have many more uses, but a finishing spray is what I use it for the most!
Thanks again for reading along with me today, I can't wait to show you the rest of the content I've been working on! Stay tuned :)
