I was approached about a month ago by Suzy Bourque, a freelance photographer based in Saskatoon, to be a part of her project called The Color Palette Series. She asked me to pick my favourite color, and she would create and style a shoot based around that color -- how cool is that?! I had found her on Instragram previously to her messaging me, and was so excited and flattered that she asked me to be a part of her next Color Palette shoot.
For the shoot, I ended up choosing red. I have always loved red, and thought it would be appropriate for the upcoming Fall season. We both laughed when I later confessed during our shoot that I wanted to choose black, but was scared that she wouldn't consider it a colour. Luckily for me, Suzy was so great to make not one, but two colour palettes during our shoot! I had two outfits which allowed for one red palette, and one monochromatic palette -- the best of both worlds.
Without further adieu, here are the photos!

Suzy was an absolute blast to shoot with. She is not only extremely talented with her craft, but is someone that I found I could talk to for hours with ease. What I loved most about her was her passion. We got to talk about how important it is to choose a career that makes you happy, and it was evident that photography was exactly that for Suzy. She has a genuine love for what she does, and it was contagious. If you are interested in getting some wonderful photos taken with someone who will make you feel very comfortable, Suzy is your girl.
