So I'm TECHNICALLY six days early to be talking about fall, but let's be honest. It's already cold, dark, and gloomy, and we are all dying to start whipping out the new fall clothing and accessories. I don't know about you guys, but I'm more than ready to put away my jean shorts and flip flops for a while.
For this post, I'm focusing on pieces that are either old fall favourites, or brand new ones that I'm dying to start using. Here is what I'll be loving this season!
I purchased this the other day from Dynamite in Saskatoon, and it took me probably ten seconds to decide if it was coming home with me -- might be a new record. Last winter, I came across a hat almost identical to this one and I passed on it. It turned out being one of those items I kept thinking about and wish I purchased. Luckily for me, Dynamite had me covered this season. I am a sucker for any sort of fur, so add that to my addiction to black and we have ourselves a new favourite!
This scarf has been worn more than anything in my fall/winter wardrobe. The colours allow it to be worn with anything your heart desires, and adds a comfortable flair to an otherwise plain outfit. The pattern plays with a medley of varying stripes, and is made out of Australia wool. The edges are fringed, which gives it an added rustic look. These scarves are an investment, but are sure to get a lot of wear!
One that is similar and easier on the bank account is this one below that I purchased from Joe Fresh last year (similar here). It feels extremely soft and luxurious, and only cost $26!
I was contacted by the owner of Oneiro Designs, Alissa, and she was so generous to offer me a piece of jewelry of my choice from her line. I was ecstatic! If you go check out her website www.oneirodesigns.com, you'll see why. Her pieces are unique and edgy, high quality, and downright stunning. In a week of wearing my Bacchus necklace, there hasn't been one day where someone hasn't asked me where it's from/where I got it. If you are looking for a quality piece of jewelry that makes a statement, Oneiro is the place to look. My other favourites on the site are the Inca and Druzy Drop necklaces!
As far as I'm concerned, describing scents might be one of the hardest tasks to ever exist. Luckily for us, Sephora has a pretty great description ready: "Elizabeth and James Nirvana Black is an addictive blend of alluring violet, sensual sandalwood, and rich vanilla that strike the perfect balance between masculine and feminine." This perfume has nothing like it. It is so unique, and is something that I get excited to wear! It is fairly expensive, so I try to only wear it on special occasions. Due to the success of this Elizabeth & James scent, the line has recently grown. It also comes in the form of body oil, perfume solid, and dry shampoo!
5. Bath & Body Works 3-Wick Candle, Marshmallow Fireside - $24
And this one smells like... marshmallows by a fireside.
Kidding. I warned you I was bad at this! But in all honesty, this one is a little more self-explanatory. It really does smell like marshmallows but with a hint of vanilla. There is also a hint of "smoky woods", as Bath & Body works calls it. This is my all time favourite scent at B&BW, along with Madagascar Vanilla. This one is only available in the fall and winter months so I was extremely happy to see it back in stock.
I purchased these beauty's at Saks in NYC back in April and haven't put them down since. They have a very round frame, which I love. That's something I never would have said a year ago! They are a mix of acetate material as well as metal on the arms, and I like contrast of the two side by side. These sunglasses are extremely easy to wear, and pair well with any casual or dressed up outfit!
These are two new shades that I am SO excited to start wearing in the upcoming autumn months. Matte Royal by MAC is a true deep blue-purple shade with a matte finish. What made me choose this was no other than Kylie Jenner. As someone who is quite comfortable experimenting with different lip colours, even I get a little nervous wearing this one. I find it looks best with a very neutral outfit, but who am I to say what looks best! I am so excited to wear this one more often, despite some of the looks I may receive.
The next one by YSL is a beautiful, sheer but buildable, true red gloss. It is extremely easy to slap on while you're in the car if you're wanting an extra edge to any makeup look. I love how this formula is so smooth, and not sticky. The packaging is so luxurious, and I can't help but feel a little fancy when applying it!
8. Drop Earrings - $8
Unfortunately, I couldn't find these on the Spring website but they are currently in stores! I was so excited to finally find a pair of these earrings. The back of them actually goes behind and under your earlobe, giving a really cool effect when they are being worn. I am not one to usually spend a lot on earrings, as for some reason I always end up losing one. When I found these for $8, I was so excited! They will most certainly be my everyday earrings this season.
9. Marc by Marc Jacobs Slim Watch - MBM3130 - $220
I used to be a very big fan of large, oversized watches, but am finding that I am now leaning toward the small and dainty variety. This one retailed for $220 CDN, and when I tell you how much I got it for you're going to go crazy. I was on a vacation down in Whitefish, MT and I stopped at their local TJ MAXX to see what I could find. To my surprise, I find this beauty on clearance for $39. Yep, $39. I immediately asked the saleswoman what was wrong with it, and she explained to me that it was just old stock and that they were just trying to make room for new items. I then took it to the till and the rest was history! I am excited to wear this with my silver pandora bracelets, and silver studded midi rings.
I purchased these a few months ago at Swank Shoe Lounge in Saskatoon. It is a stunning store that features tons of on-trend shoes and accessories. I know that every time I walk in, I will surely be walking out with more than I intended. I have been waiting patiently for the colder days to sneak in so I could wear these beautiful boots without being too hot, and those days are finally here! I have been wearing these with leggings, boyfriend jeans, high waisted denim.. just about everything. They are extremely comfortable, and easy to walk in. This is by far one of my favourite shoe purchases I've made this year!
I hope you enjoyed reading about what I've been loving this season, as I had a lot of fun compiling all of my favourites for you. Let me know some of your Autumn favourites, too!
