beauty wish list 2015 fall
As a consistent beauty blog reader, I am constantly updating my list of my most wanted products. Although it is ever-changing, this list is well thought out! If an item is on here, I've most likely read about it 98 times, or played the "how many times can I add an item to my cart before actually buying it" game. I'm hoping that I can add at least some of these to my collection in the future, but if not, I'll have to make do with reading about them another 98 times.
1. Georgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation, $66
By the sounds of it, this foundation might just be a miracle worker. It has been raved about by too many bloggers and youtubers to count, and I am so antsy to try it myself. What I look forward to the most is seeing what this finish looks like on my skin -- a true silky finish, meaning not too matte, and not too dewy. This sounds like something right up my alley for my skin type!
2. Balenciaga B Perfume - $120
During almost all visits to Sephora, I always find myself venturing into the fragrance section to see what is new and popular. It was during a recent visit that I stumbled across this beauty by Balenciaga. The woman working was kind enough to make me a sample of this perfume, and I have been savouring every last drop ever since. The price is quite steep, but I think investing in scents that you love and make you feel good are worth the investment. This one smells quite woodsy, but still feminine.
3. Mini Beauty Blenders, $26
I remember when these first came onto the market my initial thought was, what's the point? As time went on I started seeing them popping up in beauty tutorials, and now I get it! These are the perfect shape and size for applying flawless under eye concealer and cream highlighter. I am already a big advocate for the original beauty blender, so I'm sure these will impress me just as much.
4. Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation (New Formula) in "Cashew Beige", $58
When I first heard about Laura Mercier reformulating her coveted Silk Creme foundation, I died a little inside. This is one of my ALL TIME favourite foundations, and I was sad to see it being changed and tampered with. Through a little bit of research, I heard that this one performs almost identical to the old version. I am very excited to try it myself eventually, and really hope that it performs as well as the original, or better! For those of you who loved the old Silk Creme, make sure you purchase the new "oil free" version, as this is the one that is most comparable to the old formula.
5. MAC Prolongwear Paint Pot in Groundwork, $26
Paint Pots are one of my favourite products from MAC, and this shade is no exception. I actually used to have groundwork in my collection at one point, but it has mysteriously gone missing! It is perfect for those who love a neutral eye look, but maybe want to deepen it up just a tad. It is very natural on the eyes, and lasts all day and night. These really will not budge. Even though I have owned this in the past, I am hoping to re-add it to my collection sometime soon!
6. Too Faced Born This Way Foundation in "Nude", $49
I was recently in Sephora in Edmonton, and had my fingers crossed that they carried Georgio Armani in their store so I could pick up the Luminous Silk foundation. Unfortunately, they didn't carry it, but the girl working suggested this to me! She said it was very similar, and that it was her new holy grail foundation. Those are some bold words, so I of course didn't take them lightly. I am very interested in seeing how this performs on my skin, and hope I like it as much as the Sephora worker did! That is, if I end up purchasing.
7. Urban Decay Naked on the Run Palette, $49
I remember eyeing up this palette when it first came out, and being in awe over it when I got to finally play with it in store. The shadows are a dream, and I absolutely adore the way they blend. The lip gloss that it comes with is a really pretty shade, and is something I can see myself wearing very often. I think this palette is a great value considering all of its contents, and is something that is perfect for a traveller! Another great thing about this palette is that it is actually ON SALE at Sephora right now. Yep, I said sale. It is regularly $65 and is on for $49. If you are wanting this as well, you best be checking out Sephora.com right away.
7. St. Tropez Tanning Mousse (Dark Formula), $54
I have been a long time fan of St.Tropez's tanning mousse, and have recommended it to more friends than I can count. It is the perfect shade, and doesn't appear orange at all. There were many times when I applied it, I got asked if I just returned home from a vacation -- it's that good. The reason this one is one the list is because it is the DARK formula. I already know I love the original formula, but I am wanting to try this for the winter months when I have a lot less colour in my skin. I am lucky that I do already have some significant natural pigment to my skin, but I always love to bump it up a notch, without harming my skin in the sun or tanning beds. I think this would be perfect for that! I wouldn't recommend this one to those girls with very light skin, as it is quite dark and may not blend as well on lighter skin. Instead, try the original formula!
8. Laneige BB Cushion, $44
This is something completely different than anything I own. I got to sample it on my skin in Sephora and it felt amazing. Its a very lightweight BB cream/foundation, but is housed in a unique package. Each package actually comes with a foundation refill, so you're actually getting two for $44! Not a bad deal at all. Another cool thing about this is that the sponge you use to apply the foundation is antimicrobial, making me feel a lot better about using it on a consistent basis.
9. Benefit Roller Lash Mascara, $31
When I first read that Benefit was releasing this mascara, I'll admit, I wasn't excited at all really. The packaging looked nice but it was nothing that I would look at twice. What made me change my mind was seeing it being used by one of my good friends, Mikayla! She was raving about it, and I got to see it first hand on her lashes -- it looked amazing. Since then, I've been wanting to pick it up and try it myself! I am a big fan of their "They're Real" mascara, so I'm hoping this one will be just as good if not better.
10. Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation in "2n1", $45
This is another product on the market that is talked about TONS in the beauty community. It is supposed to be very long lasting, and blend flawlessly. I always appreciate a long lasting foundation, as I am not one who likes to touch up during the day. I want to be able to apply it in the morning, and not touch it again until I go to remove it for the night. It is a medium to full coverage foundation, but still manages to feel very light on the skin -- at least that's what most people say who have used it! I am hoping to try this in the near future, as I have heard so much about it over the years.
11. Fresh Black Tea Instant Perfecting Mask, $108
I am always on the hunt for new and innovative skincare products, and masks are no exception. This one by Fresh has gotten some rave reviews on Sephora, and is actually one of their bestsellers. What is holding me back is the price tag... eek! If I knew how it would perform on my skin, it would be a lot easier to splurge. Unfortunately, that is the downside to trying new beauty products, you just never know if it will perform the same on you as it did for someone else. However, the fact that so many people love and recommend this makes me feel that it may very well be worth the $108!
Thank you so much for reading along with me today! I would love to know if any of you have tried any of these products and what you think of them. It might just help me choose what to try next!
